Bridging medical expertise with technology innovation to transform cardiovascular care.

About Dr. Matt Segar

I am a cardiac electrophysiology fellow at the Texas Heart Institute where I also completed my cardiology fellowship. I graduated from Internal Medicine residency at UT Southwestern Medical Center and received my medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine. I also graduated with a degree in computer science with Honors from Bucknell University and a Masters of Science in Bioinformatics from Indiana University.

My current research focuses on using machine learning and artificial intelligence to improve risk prediction and tailor medical therapies to identify and treat cardiovascular disease. As the developer of the validated WATCH-DM Risk Score and other clinical prediction tools, I bridge the gap between data science and clinical cardiology to create practical solutions that improve patient care.

Beyond my clinical and research work, I am the founder and CEO of ReCODE Medical, a comprehensive revenue cycle management solution for medical procedures from prior authorization to charge capture.
